When DfI produced the Exercise, Explore, Enjoy – A strategic plan for Greenways in 2016, based on the AECOM and Sustrans technical report, a number of feasibility reports were produced that led to detailed designs and planning applications.

In this talk, Simon Wells and Aparna Jamgade of AECOM will give further details of this process, along with information on projects that have been built and schemes that are about to start construction.

This online event is hosted by the ICE NI Graduate & Student Committee.

Aparna joined AECOM’s Belfast Office in July 2019 as an apprentice civil engineer working on schemes including public realm projects and high-profile greenway schemes for local councils. During her two years with AECOM, she was involved with 6 greenways schemes, including the design of the 36.5km Kinnegar to Donaghadee Greenway which is currently at planning stage. Aparna was responsible for drafting and producing the planning package, including detailed drawings and related reports, designing right-hand turn pockets, vehicle tracking for car parks, land ownership maps and cost estimates.
