About this event

Knowledge of ground conditions depend on the extent and quality of geotechnical investigations. Ben’s talk will discuss what constitutes a ‘well designed’ Ground Investigation and the significance of establishing accurate geotechnical parameters relevant to the proposed works. Ben will share thoughts on managing project geotechnical risks along with discussing pertinent technical design aspects, including settlement.

Refreshments/networking from 6pm, the presentation will commence at 6.30pm.

General Manager of Ground Technology Services

Ben has 20 years’ experience in delivering ground investigation projects throughout the UK on contracts valued up to £3.5m. His skills include technical data analysis, interpretive report writing and authorisation. He is responsible for a team of engineers, field operatives, foremen and technical laboratory staff.
