About this event

Health and safety – a legal update

Risk management has never been higher on the agenda for many companies in both the private and public sector. Health and safety risk management has assumed even greater prominence with the steady stream of corporate manslaughter prosecutions that we have seen in recent times and more significantly with changes that have been made to the regime around sentencing health and safety offences.

Zoe is a Health and Safety specialist who advises companies on a wide range of regulatory matters. Zoe frequently manages/defends regulatory investigations and prosecutions brought by the Health and Safety Executive, Local Authorities, Trading Standards and the Police (including personal and corporate manslaughter cases).

The presentation will cover:-

  • Recent changes to sentencing Guidelines
  • Corporate Manslaughter
  • Experience of CDM
  • Q & A session

Refreshments will be served from 18:00 for a meeting start of 18:30.

Organised by Cheshire Branch in conjunction with the Environment & Sustainability and Health & Safety Group ESHSG.
