Engineer to the Chatham Maritime Trust, Geoffrey Austen has extensive experience of shipyard and dry dock structures all over the world, many of which were influenced by British engineers.

In this lecture he will explain how the development of the 19th century part of Chatham Docks was planned and constructed.
