About this event

This is a great opportunity to see interesting and varied construction activities in a single site visit. Hucknall Town Centre Improvement Scheme (TCIS) aims to reduce congestion, create an attractive shopping centre, attract new retailers and promote regeneration. New roads and junctions will be constructed and the High Street pedestrianised to reduce congestion in the town. Flood relief measures are also being incorporated.

Additional attention will be given to an adjacent scheme to reconstruct the 140 year old, 6 span Station Road Bridge in Hucknall, by demolishing and reconstructing parts that cross the railway and infilling four other spans. These latter works are being carried out as part of Networks Rail's 'Railway Upgrade Plan'.

Full details provided on the attached flyer.

Please note that PPE is required and close access to Network Rail's site may be restricted.
