Graduates and Students: ICAC – anti-corruption talk, Hong Kong

About this event

Event cancelled

We regret to inform you that this event has been cancelled.

Local construction industry involves substantial expenditure, multi-layer subcontracting as well as various procurement methods. Moreover, many Chinese festive customs involve offering gifts and pocket money traditions. These traditions could be incentives for corruption, and it may be difficult for young members who are new or about to join the industry to determine where the border is.

ICE members are expected to remain ethical in their professional practice. Ethics is one of the nine attributes of the Chartered Professional Review (CPR), candidates who wish to take the CPR would be benefited from gaining more insights during this talk.

Are you confident when you need to deal with ethical dilemma in your professional career? Are you confident of taking responsibilities in an ethical manner?

Speaker from Independent Commission Against Corruption of Hong Kong (ICAC) will give a talk on corruption prevention in the construction industry. Participants could understand more on the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance and relevant regulations as well as the importance of abiding by the law and development of an attitude of “zero tolerance to corruption”.

Rundown of the talk is as follows:
18:30-18:55: Construction innovation tour guided by CITAC
19:00-20:30: ICAC Talk

Capacity: 70
Registration Deadline: 28 January 2020 (Tuesday)

Successful applicants will receive confirmation emails.

Priority will be given to ICE graduates and students members on a first-come-first-served basis.

Note:
- Applicants with no-show records will be given lower priority in future G&S events
- The above is subject to change without prior notice
