About this event

The ICE East Midlands Annual General Meeting (AGM) is where current Chair, Karen Notman, will officially hand over to the new 2018-19 Chair, Matt Huddleston.

There will be a short meeting for Branch Chairs prior to the AGM from 17:00 - 18:00.

This event gives Members a chance to hear the outgoing Chair review and the Treasurer's report.

All ICE Members are welcome to attend the AGM which will be followed by a presentation (subject and details to be confirmed shortly).

Refreshments served from 18.00. 18:30 start.

The event is open to all ICE Members.

Event details

The speaker will be Joanna Ward the title is ‘Inconvenient Transport Truths’.

An interactive talk which rethinks the approach to developing sustainable transport infrastructure.
How can new technology inform appropriate modes of transport for appropriate journeys?
What is the future of planning sustainable transport infrastructure in cities?
How can planning sustainable transport infrastructure enable cities to become more inclusive and accessible?

Speakers

Joanna Ward

Principle Transport Planner, Waterman Group – Infrastructure and Environment

Joanna has worked across the transport field for almost 20 years in a variety of roles in the private, public and charity sector. She specialises in Sustainable Transport Solutions; with a specific interest in encouraging people to walk and Cycle. She is a Board Director for the Transport Planning Society and has never owned a car.
