Azhar Alqaissi

Mrs. Azhar Alqaissi is a leading engineer with over 25 years’ experience in multi-discipline engineering fields. Her experience covers Planning, Feasibility Studies, Implementation, Management, Supervision, Capacity Building, Applied Research, and Projects’ Assessment. She got her BSc from Baghdad University, College of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, and got Diploma in Project Management (PMP) from the UK. She was trained in France, India, Switzerland, Belgium and other countries. Eng. Azhar started her career as project engineer at the Iraqi Ministry of Transportation (MoT), after 10 years of success she became the Director General of the Company of Projects at MoT.

She managed and supervised many Mega Projects such as Baghdad Metro, Baghdad Ring Railway, and Construction of 800 Km Railway Lines in collaboration with Hyundai Company, and Multi-Story Steel Structure Building. For 7 years she was the General Manager of Al-Munshed Contracting and Consultation Company (a private sector Iraqi Co).

Eng. Azhar worked in Oman for 10 years (2008-2018) as a Railway Expert for the GCC Railway Network (Omani MoTC). She is proud of her achievements as part of the Omani National Team, and happy to provide Technical Training for many young Omani engineers and be advisor for Railways Training Programmes amongst other success stories.
