About this event

Join outgoing Chair Mac West, and welcome incoming Chair Frances Ratcliffe, to hear about what ICE Scotland is doing to grow membership and lifelong learning, promote the profession, and influence opinion.

The short AGM (20 mins max) will be followed by a great lecture by Atkins Energy CEO Martin Grant where he explores future challenges for engineers in the energy sector – a joint live-streamed Aberdeen and Edinburgh event.

Registration and refreshments from 1730hrs for an 1800hrs start.

Mac West

Current ICE Scotland Chair, Mac West BSc PgDip, CEng MICE. As Clackmannnanshire Council's senior civil engineer Mac was responsible for the strategic management of the Council's Roads & Transportation Service, development control and flood prevention.

Frances Ratcliffe

Incoming Chair Frances Ratcliffe CEng MICE. Former Chair of Dundee Area Branch and ICE Scotland's first female chair. Frances is a Consultant Engineer in the Structures Asset Management Unit of the Fife Council's Assets, Transportation and Environment Service. Her early career with AMEC was in the design and delivery of high pressure gas installations. Frances is a committed STEM Ambassador and champions engineering as a career for girls and young women.
