A new way for our members to access the huge wealth of knowledge content ICE has. Organised into bite-sized modules.
Our learning is structured around these key areas:
Courses, workshops and membership surgeries to help you achieve professional qualification.
Access videos covering key areas of professional qualification.
Courses, help and advice to advance your career no matter what stage you are at.
Specialist training courses let you learn new skills and add to your personal development.
Earn new qualifications to boost your career and demonstrate your abilities.
This event will feature the famous 15m long #ICEBridgetoSchools model of the Second Severn crossing along with a number of engineering related games. There is also an ICE Invisible Superhero’s themed trail which utilises Wales' only officially licensed Gruffalo Trail!
If that’s not enough, you are also free to explore the rest of the ranch and its fantastic facilities. Please visit the website for further information.
ICE activities will be based on the field adjacent to the start of the Gruffalo Trail and will run throughout the day from 11.00 – 16.00.
Food and drinks can be purchased on site including the Ranch’s own Pizza & Bean restaurant located near the entrance. Picnics are also welcome.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are well behaved, kept on short leads at all times, don't go into the sand areas and are cleaned up after.
Ample parking is available at the venue free of charge.
This event promotes civil engineering and supports the people who work in our profession, and is also open the public. It's also important for us to keep telling the public about what civil engineers do – because without them our world would be very different.
This event also forms parts of a range of events by ICE Wales Cymru to support International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) 2019 which celebrates the contribution of women in engineering and aims to encourage women to consider engineering careers.
Please ensure that you book online as you will be asked to pay the full admission fee if you and your family/guests are not on the guest list.
If you would like to volunteer to support this event, please contact the event organiser Nathan Duke.
