Helen Kane (Access Included) will give a short presentation on what can an inclusive designer do for you.

Helen is the director of ‘Access Included’, access consultants and surveyors, and ‘Neuro By Design’ based in Cardiff and London. The practices specialise in increasing productivity, focusing on neurodiversity, inclusive and Biophilic design. Clients attract and retain the talents of a diverse workforce via office design, training and the application of neuroscience research on the built environment.
Helen holds a Master’s degree in Construction Project Management, an Honours degree in Housing, a teaching qualification, and is a qualified carpenter and pilot. As a surveyor she has a wide range of experience in all sectors, ranging from negotiations on the London Olympics site to searching for properties while flying a plane in Africa. Her 30 year+ experience spans residential, retail, industrial and commercial sectors internationally (70+ countries).
Voluntary positions include the Design Commission for Wales design review panel, ICE Wales Cymru Fairness Inclusion and Respect committee and ex Samaritans Listener, National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC) board, RICS Wales Board chair and Chair of Women in Property in Wales.
