State of the Nation 2020: Infrastructure and the Net-Zero Target will examine the contribution of the UK’s economic infrastructure networks in meeting net-zero emissions by 2050, including an assessment of their current environmental impact. The report will recommend a series of interventions and/or options to policymakers and industry stakeholders for ensuring that the UK’s economic infrastructure networks contribute positively to the 2050 net-zero emissions target.

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) has published an annual State of the Nation report since 2002, including more recent reports on devolution in 2016, digital in 2017, investment in 2018 and housing in 2019. The objective of these reports is to set out the policy interventions required to ensure the UK has the high-performing infrastructure networks that facilitate economic growth and improve quality of life.

This is your opportunity to input to one of the main and important State of the Nation Report.

A telephone dial in facility will be available from 12.30 (limited places available) for those who are unable to attend in person. A buffet Lunch will be available at 12 noon, the workshop will be from 12.30 – 14.00.
