Platforms for EDF Energy which form part of their ISI (reactor life extension) programme. These include structures at Hartlepool and Heysham 1 Nuclear Stations to support up to 50 Tonnes of new equipment in the Fuel Charge Halls above the Reactor Pressure Vessels.
For obvious reasons the structures required seismic qualification and the QA grade required technical review by EDF and an Independent Nuclear Safety Assessment Audit (INSA). There were many challenges. Hartlepool was completed 1st. Heysham 1 installation is current and has benefitted significantly from the experiences learned at Hartlepool.
Refreshments will be served from 18:00 for a meeting start of 18:30.
