About this event

John Ferguson, a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, has extensive experience of the construction industry and spent the last 20 years working in rail projects both in the UK and overseas. John's career spans design and construction projects in the UK, Gibraltar, Bangladesh and Thailand. John's most recent international experience was as an Engineering Manager responsible for over 70 design engineers in India.

This event will see John explore the history of international travel in railway civil engineering, share his experience of working overseas as an engineer and the associated challenges. What are the benefits to engineers of working abroad in the modern global community in which we operate?
