Dennis is registered with the Department of Health as an Advanced NHS Project Director and as a NHS Gateway Reviewer and NHS Design Champion. Prior to joining NHS Velindre in 2015, Dennis was Project Director for the United Bristol Healthcare Trust successfully delivery numerous major complex healthcare projects and was a Projects Director for NHS Fife and then for NHS Dumfries and Galloway.

In relation to BIM whilst Dennis is a keen advocate he feels that there is a certain amount of asymmetry in the industry and is keen to ensure that the public-sector client secures the full benefit of BIM, especially in the operational phase. He is currently leading on an initiative to secure this asymmetry is addressed on the £350+ Velindre NHS Trust Cancer Centre in Cardiff called 'Enterprise BIM' in which the integration and transfer of data will be enshrined into the contract.
