Laser scanning and advances in digital techniques for surveying, Newcastle.

About this event

As the world grows more dependent on digital techniques, the surveying industry is at the forefront of the digital construction era. Modernising traditional practices by using advanced technologies such as laser Scanners and drones we can capture existing site conditions like never before. This results in a modern digital data set that meets the demands of the collaborative BIM era whilst reducing both risk and cost.

Referencing real world examples from recent 3D Surveys of a series of bridges on the A69 and Underground Culverts commissioned by Newcastle Council. Paul Henzell and Kyle Hodgson form Newcastle based Three Sixty group will discuss how 3D surveying adds value to construction and engineering projects.
