About this event

In an increasingly competitive contracting environment and ever tightening budgets local authorities are looking at mitigating risk and commercial exposure in delivering its essential highways network maintenance programmes. This is commonly carried out by using long term framework arrangements. Such arrangements are coupled with an element of foreseeability for budget controls but are they as secure as often thought?

This lecture goes to look at some key aspects of the life-cycle of such maintenance contracts, and focusses on areas which require specific attention and takes lessons from real life framework contracts. It includes some best practice examples in forming, administering and finalising these types of arrangements.

This talk is suitable for employers, contractors, engineers, project managers, contract administrators and all else with an interest in the importance of careful contracting practice.
