Jessica trained in Emergency Planning & Disaster Management at Coventry University and first started putting her knowledge into practice during a university placement with London Underground’s Emergency Planning team where she assisted in planning for large events such as Notting Hill Carnival as well as putting contingencies in place during industrial action.
Following university Jessica pursued an interest in the third sector working for a homelessness charity before returning to emergency planning where she now works on business continuity and emergency planning projects, trains council staff in incident response arrangements and assists in coordinating the local authority and voluntary agency response when incidents occur in Hertfordshire.
