As the UK construction industry continues to embrace change, and the demand for Offsite Construction and MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) continues to grow, it has been necessary for the industry to implement the latest digital construction solutions to remain at the forefront of this technological change.
This webinar will help to demonstrate the latest developments being made in the offsite construction industry across the UK, and how BIM processes and digital solutions are being applied to bring about improvements throughout the project lifecycle. Advanced visualisation tools such as VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) can help with client and end-user engagement throughout the design and manufacture of offsite solutions, and we will look at some real life case studies of this in action.
David joined The McAvoy Group as Design and Engineering Manager in 2012. He progressed to Innovation Manager and was also responsible for the Group's award-winning BIM strategy and implementation, along with spearheading the Group's pioneering use of virtual reality to improve customer engagement in the offsite design process.
With 20 years' experience in manufacturing for the construction sector he recently graduated from Queen's University Belfast to achieve an MSc in BIM and Project Management, and also holds a BSc (Hons) in Manufacturing Management. Within his newly appointed role as Head of manufacture & Innovation David takes responsibility for applying new digital solutions and lean processes to improve efficiency and productivity of the offsite manufacturing process, which will support The McAvoy Group's ambitious plans for growth.
