About this event

As one of six international airports serving the London area and the UK’s fifth largest passenger airport currently used by 14 million passengers per annum, London Luton Airport is implementing a strategy to improve passenger facilities at the airport. The wider development strategy includes improvements to landside facilities, airside facilities with the provision of new taxiways, and the construction of a new multi-storey car park to enable the airport to expand capacity to 18 million passengers per annum.

As part of this strategy, Whitemountain secured the £13M contract for the London Luton Landside Civil Engineering Works – LOT 1, designed to improve access, circulation and parking facilities required to support the Terminal Expansion Project (Building Works – LOT 2). This presentation will provide an overview of the project, the issues addressed and the difficulties in managing construction whilst insuring minimum disruption to large volumes of vehicles, staff and passengers.

Whitemountain’s Gareth McNern (Project Manager) and John Hasson (Operations Manager) will deliver the presentation about this project.
