About this event

As part of this seminar, Sam Bennett (WSP) will share his experience as Project Director leading and managing the Project Management Contractor (PMC) on the $10 Billion Roy Hill Project. The 'greenfield' project delivered a world-class 55 mega tonne per annum iron-ore mine, a two berth port and a 345km heavy-haul rail operation in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia.

The Roy Hill project has won a number of awards including Australian Engineering Excellence Award (AEEA) for Project Management, Project Management Institute (PMI) Project of the Year award 2016 and the Railway Technical Society of Australasia (RTSA) Rail Project Award 2016.

Sam Bennett

Sam is a Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE) and Project Manager with WSP and has over 16 years' experience in construction and major project delivery. Sam recently led the Roy Hill Project Management Consultancy (PMC) as Project Director. He has held many other senior positions and is currently the Director of Resources for WSP.
