Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Project, St Andrews

About this event

The 450MW Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) offshore wind farm project is located off the cost of Fife in the East of Scotland. Mainstream Renewable Power has been developing this project after being awarded the development rights in 2009.

This £2 billion project will be able to generate enough power to supply all the homes in a city the size of Edinburgh with clean energy. It will create over 500 jobs during construction and over 100 permanent jobs once operational. More than £540 million will be directly invested in Scotland during the construction phase and a further £610 million during the operational phase.

As a nationally-significant infrastructure project, NnG will help Scotland and the UK meet their climate and energy goals and develop a world-leading offshore wind sector.

Mainstream is working closely with a range of partners, stakeholders and funders to take the windfarm to financial close and into construction.

Registration from 5:30pm, refreshments from 5:45pm, for 6:15pm start.
