Speakers

Catherine Eymin FIEAust, CPEng, EngExec
Based in Melbourne, Catherine is currently director of Technical Services Branch at Public Transport Victoria (PTV),

As director, she is responsible for providing technical rigour and specialist engineering advice in respect of the Public Transport Network (PTN) in order to ensure Network Integrity and readiness of the PTN to accept capital investments.

An experienced leader with strong engineering expertise, Catherine has over 17 years experience within public transport rail infrastructure in both Australia and France. Her senior and executive roles have ranged from low-speed light rail to high-speed heavy rail operations, with comprehensive application of best practices in asset management, rail operations and project delivery.

 Eduardo Bellon MINCOSE

Now also based in Melbourne, Eduardo has been Requirements Engineering Manager at Public Transport Victoria (PTV), for the last two years, and leads a team providing technical systems engineering expertise for all new rail projects for the state government. Recent project involvement has included: Melbourne’s Metro Tunnel Project ($11 billion), Ballarat Line Upgrade ($0.5 billion), Murray Basin Rail Project ($0.4 billion) and Regional Rail Revival Program ($1.7 billion).

Eduardo has nearly a decade of Systems Engineering experience in Spain, United Kingdom and Australia, focusing in rail asset and systems engineering, including requirements development & management; interface & integration, configuration management; and systems verification & validation for both private and public sectors (ALSTOM, Transport for London, and PTV)

Philippe Buscailhon

Philippe is currently Requirements Assurance Engineer at Public Transport Victoria (PTV), Melbourne. He provides system engineering expertise for the specification of stakeholder requirements and interdependencies management for the new Victorian transport investment projects, including the Regional Rail Revival program.

Philippe has 15 years’ experience in system engineering, including tenders, system specification, sub-system allocation and interfaces specification. He worked in France in Electronic Warfare systems, in the USA as team leader for In-Flight Entertainment system specification, integration and delivery, and in Australia as Air Traffic Management system engineer and team leader.

Philippe joined the rail industry in 2017, managing the operational requirements for Melbourne’s Metro Tunnel Project.
