About this event

The theme of this delegation is ‘Renewing infrastructure, connecting our future’.
 
Sweden and Finland are pioneers in developing smart and innovative engineering solutions to better human’s quality of life and cater future needs. In this delegation, Visits to projects such as Henriksdal wastewater treatment plant, Itakeskuks underground swimming pool, Stockholm bypass and New Slussen development etc. will be included so that delegates will not only learn about revitalisation of ageing infrastructures, optimisation of various renewable energy and intelligent technologies being applied in daily life, but they will also bring back these excellent ideas in Nordic countries and share to construction industry in Hong Kong.

Remarks:
- The online application form will be open for registration on 16 December 2019 (Mon), 10:00am.
- Priority will be given to ICE graduate and student members on a first-come-first-served basis and Student Prize winners
- Application will be considered as completed only upon receipt of your full set application (online application form, full payment, photocopy of your HKID card and travel document and original copy of the signed declaration form).
- Once the application is confirmed, payment is non-refundable.
- ICE HKA G&S reserves the right to limit the number of delegates from the same organisation to 10.

Delegation Student Prize
ICE HKA G&S is constantly encouraging students in their university studies to explore the civil engineering industry both within and outside Hong Kong. Succeeding the success last year, we are glad to maintain the Delegation Student Prize for university students. There will be a maximum of two awardees. Each will receive HKD 3,000 financial sponsorship and an award certificate.

Application for Student Prize:
To apply, the applicant should:
1. Fill in the online application form for the delegation*.
2. Prepare a platform statement#.
3. Submit a softcopy of student ID#.
4. Attend an interview prior to the delegation.
 
* Student should apply for the Student Prize at the time of application for the delegation, the seat will only be automatically secured upon winning the Student Prize. Applications of the delegation from students who do not receive the prize will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.

Student Prize Award:
1. HKD 3,000 financial sponsorship to ICE HKA G&S delegation
2. An award certificate
    
Obligations of Student Prize winner after delegation:
1. 400-word study report
2. Presentation in various forms or channels at the discretion of ICE HKA G&S committee
3. Ambassador to promote ICE membership and future events in their university
Award will be granted only if the Student Prize winner fulfils the above obligations
