The story goes that in an old edition of the Yellow Pages if you looked for “Civil Engineers”, the page redirected you to “Boring Engineers” (or ground investigation companies!).
Someone’s idea of a joke? A reflection on how Civil Engineers are perceived? Or a backwards compliment, highlighting how important the work of Civil Engineers is to society?
ICE North East opens the debate, and invites you to join us for the debate and our Annual General Meeting on 15th January 2019 at the County Hotel, Neville Street, Newcastle upon Tyne.
This year’s AGM will be led by our current Chairman, Alison Mee and it is a chance for you to meet the incoming Regional Chair, Barry Walmsley.
Refreshments will be provided from 17:45.
