About this event

The speaker will outline the current UK nuclear landscape and the opportunities this will generate for UK industry both nationally and globally. Nuclear new build, decommissioning and waste disposal issues will all be explored alongside the radical solutions being brought to bear on the unique engineering challenges they present.

Richard will touch on the potential adoption of transformational technologies, such as small modular reactors, and how these could fit into the UK's future energy mix and the policies adopted by UK Government to promote the adoption of nuclear power.

An international perspective will also be provided with some thoughts on how the UK could bring its nuclear engineering heritage to bear within the global marketplace.
