Health and safety in construction.
Health and safety in construction.

About this event

A company's employees are a key business asset and essential to productivity and profitability, therefore, it is important to keep employees healthy and safe whilst at work and manage any risks in the workplace that are likely to give rise to work-related ill health.

Research shows that good health is good for business and better workplaces have better financial results.

30.4 million working days were lost due to work related illness and non-fatal injuries in 2015/16 and the cost to the economy is estimated to be £100bn each year.

The construction industry is consistently one of Britain's most dangerous sectors.

We hope to show you ways of ensuring the health and safety of employees in construction.

The presentation is to be given by Debi Anderson of MLM.

The event is free. The venue is a ten minute walk from Chelmsford railway station. Visitor's parking is available on campus from 4.30pm. Refreshments will be served from 6.00pm and the lecture will start at 6.30pm. Booking is not essential but helps us with planning.
