About this event

In this presentation, Consultant Ecologist Liza Hollinghurst will discuss the significance of ecological planning documents; namely Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA), an Environmental Statement (ES) and its 'Ecology' chapter; and the Construction Ecological Management Plan (CEcMP). These documents contain details of a project's proposed ecological mitigation, including when it has to be undertaken, by whom and whether any protected species licensing is required.

Liza will also look at how important it is to allow time to schedule ecological mitigation in advance into the construction programme, as certain measures can only be carried out during specific months (e.g. badger sett closures, reptile translocations).
