Plover Scar lighthouse, Lancaster

About this event

You rarely, if ever, hear of a ship hitting a lighthouse, but it happened in the River Lune.

How do you repair a seriously damaged Victorian Lighthouse situated in the middle of a protected tidal estuary? - It’s not as easy as it sounds!

Hear the story from two perspectives - the Client and the Consultant Engineer.

Refreshments will be served in the printroom bar/café from 18:00hrs.

Car parking – there are a few options for parking near the venue in Lancaster. Dallas road car park is across the road (please note a parking fee is required) and there is limited on street car parking (free) near the castle after 6pm.
