Scientist, writer and broadcaster Dr Len Fisher is a Senior Research Fellow in Physics at the University of Bristol. His research has spanned food research, biomedical science, fundamental physics and philosophy.
He won an Ig Nobel Prize (and was voted by the Times newspaper as an “enemy of the people”) for showing how physics could be used to work out the best way to dunk a biscuit, and has written and broadcast extensively about the role of science in food, cooking and gastronomy.
This intriguing presentation is in line with his current work to make science accessible by showing how scientists think about the problems of everyday life.
