Join us for our general meeting: Qatar from the inside.

About this event

This has led to its growth across all facets of life and resulted in the need for control which was set out in 2008 by the then Emir Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani in a comprehensive plan called Qatar National Vision 2030. This was consolidated with Qatar being awarded the 2022 World Cup in 2008 and a programme of unprecedented construction in a very short time span. In 2013 the Emir handed over to his son the current Emir Sheik Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani who is in control of the annual €40 Billion expenditure….until the drop in the price of oil.

This Presentation provides an overview of Qatar, its development, construction and the way of life from an "Insider" expatriate with a flavour of "reality".

This is a free event open to the general public.
