Visit Thames Water’s Queen Elizabeth Reservoir intake works. Commissioned in 1962 the Queen Elizabeth Reservoir covers 317 acres (1.28km2), has a mean depth of 15.3m, a maximum depth of 17.8m and holds 4,300 million gallons (20,000 million litres). With 23,000 solar panels Queen Elizabeth Reservoir is Europe’s largest floating solar power farm.
Attendees will be guided to see new Eel Trap construction at the intake. Visitors are invited to lunch at the nearby Royal Stag Bar and Restaurant. Food and/or drinks at the individual cost.
