ICE’s Poole City Club invite you to an evening lecture by John Dora who will talk about flooding and other impacts on the GB railway system, bringing insights from the Tomorrow's Railway and Climate Change Adaptation programme, and recent developments in guidance, particularly the ISO 14090 for which he led the drafting.

We will be meeting at 18.00 for light refreshments and networking with the talk commencing at 18:30.


John Dora

John is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, and of the Permanent Way Institution. He has the rare privilege of being an Engineer who is also a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society.

With thirty-seven years’ experience in flood defence and rail infrastructure, spanning policy to delivery, his career has covered research, construction and maintenance of civil engineering infrastructure and he has become an acknowledged expert in resilience.
