How can Indonesia make better use of biofuels?
How can Indonesia make better use of biofuels?

About this event

Indonesia is the Biofuel Garden of the world; however, the government of Indonesia does not seem to be interested in Renewable Biofuels, yes, they say they produce Biodiesel, however, this is from Crude Palm Oil (CPO) which means they are using a Food Oil and this results in clearing more tropical forest in Indonesia.

Jatropha curcas Linn, or to give it the common Indonesian names "Jarak Pagar or Jarak Putih" will grow just about anywhere on land classed S3 (very marginal land) of which, if you go by government information, there is approximately 29 million ha in Indonesia. All that is lacking is direction from the government.
