About this event

Talk on the type of piling rigs that can be utilised where it is either impossible, impractical or not cost effective to mobilise the larger piling rigs typically seen on open building sites. This talk is a great introduction into the capabilities of our fleet of mini piling rigs, from those which can gain access through a standard door opening up to our larger rigs which weigh in excess of 15 tonnes.

The presentation will focus on both bored and driven pile methodology. In terms of bored piling the three main techniques of sectional flight auger (SFA) will be discussed namely Hollow stem, solid stem & Drill and case. When discussing driven piles the talk will focus on bottom driven steel cased piles using drop hammer and internal percussive techniques.

Speaker: Oliver Dawson MEng (Hons), Assistant Manager – Mini Piling, Roger Bullivant Limited
