Six papers for you to learn from others best practice on road surface construction, maintenance and reinstatement included in a one-day Masterclass to be held at the Stirling Court Hotel, Stirling University:

  • Hear Midlothian Council's first-hand experience with applying low temperature asphalt supplied by Tarmac
  • Scottish Water are challenging traditional approaches to reinstatements, using environmentally friendly alternative and recycled materials delivered to site and achieving quality results - what are the implications for utilities and roads authorities?
  • Asphalt Reinforcement Services and products improve the in-service performance of asphalt pavement through design, installation and maintenance, taking into account traffic volumes and the underlying road construction materials and layers.
  • Stirling Lloyd are involved in structural protection and surfacing systems, but ease and safety of application are just as important as product performance
  • Transport Scotland's revised guidance 35/15 to TS2010 Surface Course Specification and Guidance, takes account of noise management areas, and the actual service lives of thin surface course systems, stone mastic asphalts.
