Join Chairman of ICE North East’s Heritage Panel, Michael Taylor, who trained as a Newcastle City Guide, to explore some of the familiar and unfamiliar aspects of Newcastle.
The walk will commence at 6pm outside Northumbria University CIS Building at the end of Ellison Place and near the pedestrian over the Central Motorway East and finish at Newcastle Quayside some 1½ to 2 hours later.
Those attending will need a reasonable level of mobility as there will be a number o steps to climb and descend. The walk is approximately 1 mile long.

Michael is a Chartered Civil Engineer, Past Chairman of the North Eastern branch and Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and is a member of the Panel for Historical Engineering Works, Chairman North East Heritage Panel, and Past Chairman ICE NE Senior's Group.
He is a Trustee, Exhibitions Curator, Newsletter Editor and Webmaster of the Robert Stephenson Trust.
Michael was chairman of the Millennium Ponteland Pele Tower Restoration Group and is Chairman, Magazine Editor and webmaster of Ponteland Local History Society.
