About this event

ICE Shropshire would like you to join them to hear Simon Hutchinson of McPhillips talk about his involvement in the stabilisation of the active landslip on the southern slope above the River Severn at Jackfield and looking at the practical challenges faced by the Contractor as well as providing an overview of the permanent works design strategy.

Historically, movement has destroyed houses and dislocated the road and railway, and predicted landslides threatened the socio-economic structure of the area. The site works spanned three years and involved installing over 20,000m of 600mm CFA piles, all within a World Heritage Site.
