James Golden of Quigg Golden will cover the key differences between the NEC short contract and its big brother the ECC form. He will highlight some of the intricacies and uncertainties in the short contract and discuss how to overcome them. He will also highlight the changes between the NEC3 and NEC4 short contracts.
James intends to finish the session with a discussion about the advantages and disadvantages of the short contract compared with other forms and so is keen that those with experience come prepared to participate.

James has experience with many major consultants and contractors throughout the UK and Ireland. He has worked in Hong Kong and has considerable international experience.
James is widely experienced in all aspects of dispute resolution and large scale project management. Always commercially minded, he has a reputation of grasping the key issues quickly and thoroughly and an ability to explain them to decision makers and clients alike.
James' experience includes acting as an Expert Witness in arbitration and litigation. He specialises in the growing area of dispute resolution under the NEC.
James is also a training tutor on the NEC forms of contract for the Institution of Civil Engineers.
