About this event

The South Island Line (East), SIL(E), is a new extension connecting the existing Island Line and Tsuen Wan Line from Admiralty to the Southern District of Hong Kong Island. The SIL(E) is approximately 7km long with 5 stations, including Admiralty, Ocean Park, Wong Chuk Hang, Lei Tung and South Horizons. • 571 individual blasts with maximum instantaneous charge of 1.25kg
  • Underpinning to create a 26m deep excavation beneath a 58m length of the insitu concrete platform box
  • The project costs $ 1.5 billion and the name of the client is Mass Transit Railway Corporation (MTR).
