The Anderson Road Quarry (ARQ) has been playing a crucial part in supplying the aggregate and asphalt for the construction industry in Hong Kong since 1950s.
The quarry is now performing another significant role in the development of Hong Kong. The development project at Anderson Road Quarry Site aims to provide land and associated infrastructures for future land uses at the existing site. The land will be transformed into commercial and housing projects accommodating around 25,000 people, in order to meet the housing target and facilitate the upcoming development in the vicinity.
In this visit, representatives from CEDD will introduce the site formation and infrastructure works within the site, proposed public transport facilities and relevant traffic improvement measures around the site. Participants will be able to visit the Anderson Road Quarry site.
Registration Deadline: 30 March 2018 (Friday)
The event will be cancelled and rescheduled to another date in case of Thunderstorm; Amber or Red or Black Rainstorm Alert; or Typhoon Signal No.3 or No. 8 or above being in force by the Hong Kong Observatory at or after 7am. It may also be cancelled because of safety or other reasons.
