About this event

To coincide with the RCEA co-sponsored North East Railway Forum meeting on ‘Rail in the North East – Meeting the Challenges’ we have arranged for a guided tour of the National Railway Museum in York for RCEA members beforehand.

This will provide an insight into the current workings of the museum, some of the key exhibits and how they are maintained. The tour will be lead by the Director, Judith McNicol, to provide a personal insights into the world famous museum and its collection.

What better way to see the museum, with the visit for RCEA members ONLY.

13:00 – 14:30: Lunch and talk by Charlotte Kingston: National Railway Museum Vision 2025
14:30 – 17:00: Guided tour of the National Railway Museum with Richard Gibbon and RCEA Past Chair Lawrie Quinn
17:30 – 21:00: North East Railway Forum
