About this event

This is a meeting organised by IET Surrey but ICE members are more than welcome to attend.

Refreshments will be served from 19.00 and the lecture will begin at 19.30.

Think about Smart Cities and a world of clever gadgets and robotic technology comes to mind. While that's partly true it's more about a mix of technology services and IT solutions to make use of the growing torrent of data created by service providers, city administrators and private users of mobile phones, social networks and smart home devices.

So if you are curious and want to know more about this futuristic innovation for a future generation, then we'd be delighted to see you at our annual schools' Christmas lecture. The lecture is for everyone... members and non-members of all ages.

In his presentation Dr Payam Barnaghi from the University of Surrey will focus on the opportunities and challenges of using large-scale and real time data streams in smart city applications and services. We can promise you an entertaining, lively and informative evening.
