About this event

Smart Motorways are being constructed throughout the UK to increase capacity by converting the hard shoulder into a running lane and by actively managing traffic to optimise the network. This talk will provide an insight into the evolution of Smart Motorways together with details of the technology deployed in order to achieve the desired operational outcomes.

The lecture will be given by Stuart Wilson BEng (Hons) CEng MIET who is Technical Director of Transport Technology at Jacobs.

Refreshments will be available from 6pm ready for a 6.30pm lecture start and the lecture will run for approximately 1 hour followed by Q&A. The lecture will be held at Anglia Ruskin University within the Lord Ashcroft Building (Room MAB404). Please look for ICE signage on the evening within the Lord Ashcroft Building if unfamiliar with the university.
