About this event

The South Bristol Link is a new 4.5km route for travel between the A370 Long Ashton bypass and Hengrove Park. This presentation will provide an update on how Metrobus and South Bristol Link are progressing, detail some of the challenges overcome and focus on the role of an innovative BIM System.

Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd have been working in partnership with North Somerset Council in developing and implementing an iPad based BIM System that has improved efficiency on site and ensured live data capture and inspections.

Live information transfer between site and office is particularly beneficial here on this large site. Technical queries including photos, videos, mark ups and comments can be raised instantly, and revised information issued to the construction team.
