Judi was born in Plymouth and now lives in Exeter. After training as an actress and working in the theatre for a couple of years she began her broadcasting career at Westward television, at the time the ITV station for South West England. After 10 very happy years she moved into national television as a presenter on BBC One's daily magazine programme Pebble Mill interviewing some of the biggest names in the world of theatre, film, music and books covering the Oscars and the Cannes Film festival. During this time she was a regular guest on just about every Saturday night light entertainment show!
She also hosted her own Saturday morning BBC Radio Two Show for several years again interviewing celebrities of the day moving back to Devon and joining BBC Radio Devon for 15 years.
As a freelance presenter and broadcaster she is now much in demand as a host for the regions many award ceremonies and festivals writes regularly for Devon Life and has a weekly column in the Western Morning News and Plymouth Herald.
She was recently voted one of 100 Most Influential Women in Exeter and was also presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Devon Community Honours for her work as Ambassador and Patron for many of the regions’ charities.
