The ICE Bristol City Club would like to invite you to an evening lecture on the use of digital tools within creative engineering design. Stephen Melville is our guest speaker and will explore the benefits and potential pitfalls of such computational tools.
In recent decades, digital tools have fundamentally changed the way that engineers and other designers collaborate throughout a project. The use of computational tools has enabled much greater versatility within creative design and allowed results to quickly inform the project team’s creative thought process. However, the methodology can also hide an inherent contradiction between creative freedom and practical constraint.
This event is FREE and open to all (including the general public)
Sandwiches and refreshments are available from 18:00 with the talk commencing at 18:30.
