About this event

A pilot retrofit scheme was therefore undertaken to examine the costs, benefits, opportunities and special engineering considerations that will inform our approach to future Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SuDS) schemes.

In this presentation, Bristol City Council officer Matthew Sugden will discuss the delivery of the scheme from feasibility through to construction. A background to the scheme will be given, followed by an examination of site selection, options appraisal, public engagement, detailed design and construction.

Our speaker will also discuss the various engineering challenges that were encountered during the design and construction phases and look back at lessons learnt.
