About this event

The P568 Midfield Apron Development Works comprise construction of aircraft parking apron at the Midfield area of the Airport to provide thirty one (31) full serviced passenger/cargo aircraft stands, a new cross-field Taxiway connecting to the existing Taxiways A/B and Taxiways H/J, a Taxilane system connecting to all the stands, airside road network, associated ancillary buildings, and a means of escape tunnel connect to the west end of the existing APM tunnel.

ICE HKA is organizing a technical site visit to Hong Kong International Airport Midfield Project. Participants will gain valuable knowledge of the challenges faced in a project, learn the difference of design and construction of airfield pavement and the highway pavement; get insight into civil infrastructure works executed in parallel of a busy international airport in operation.

Capacity: 25 persons


  1. Airport Restricted Area Permit will be applied to join the technical visit. Successful registrants will be notified by email to submit the following for applications.
    • HKID copy
    • JPEG photo (passport size, white background, no glasses, less than 1MB) detail requirement please refer to the Airport Restricted Area Permit - Visitor Pass.
  2. Participants have to bring their own valid Green Cards issued by recognised authorities and safety boots. Helmets and reflective vest will be provided by the site.
  3. Priority will be given to ICE HKA corporate members, on a first-come-first served basis.
