Central Kowloon Route (CKR) is a 4.7km long dual 3-lane trunk road connecting the Yau Ma Tai interchange and the proposed Kai Tak development area. The works at Yau Ma Tei under Contract Nos. HY/2014/20 and HY/2018/08, as parts of the CKR project, will be the focus of this visit.
Contract No. HY/2014/20 includes the construction of tunnel at Yau Ma Tei, reconstruction of a section of the Gascoigne Road Flyover and re-provisioning of affected public facilities at Yau Ma Tei.
Contract No. HY/2018/08 includes the construction of central tunnel, cut-and-cover tunnels at Yau Ma Tei and Ma Tau Kok, piles and diaphragm walls for Ho Man Tin ventilation building.

The event will be conducted in Cantonese.
Participants are required to bring their own valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) and safety shoes. Participants are advised to wear long trousers. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including helmets and reflective vests will be provided.

Adverse weather arrangement
The event will be cancelled or rescheduled to another date in case of Thunderstorm; Amber or Red or Black Rainstorm Alert; or Typhoon Signal No.3 or No. 8 or above being in force by the Hong Kong Observatory at or after 7am. It may also be cancelled because of safety or other reasons.
The Institution of Civil Engineers (Hong Kong Association) shall not under any circumstances be liable or otherwise for death or any injury or for any damage to or loss or destruction of property or otherwise, in any such case arising from any accident or mishap, and whether during or after this event, in preparation for it, traveling to or from it or otherwise.
